Family Group Conferences
Stronger together

Family group conference
Driven by children’s needs and guided by relationships
our Family Group Conference (FGC) service offers families the opportunity to come together in a structured, supportive, and impartial environment to make important decisions about the care and wellbeing of their children.
We believe that families themselves often hold the best solutions, and our trained coordinators work independently to ensure every voice is heard from parents and carers to extended family members and, where appropriate, the children themselves.
The FGC process empowers families to take ownership of their plans, strengthens relationships, and helps build sustainable solutions that put the child’s needs firmly at the centre.
Child-led support with relationships at the heart
Our service doesn’t end when the conference is over. For families who have engaged in our supervised contact centre, we can support a natural progression towards independence through a tailored move-on pathway.
This may include step-down contact arrangements, parenting support, or further assessment services to help families transition safely and confidently.
By combining our FGC and contact services, Libra Children Services is able to provide a joined-up approach that not only resolves immediate concerns but also equips families with the tools and confidence they need to move forward positively.
